Scuba From Our Caribbean Resort Beach

Our Scuba beach dive is conducted off of the beach at the very popular and renowned "Shacks" approximately 400 yards up the beach from Villa Montaña Beach Resort. The dive explores a labyrinth of coral mazes which drop into a blue hole or as we like to refer to it, an amphitheater of caverns where aquatic treasures and manatees live.

We can do a Discover Scuba combination learning session in the pool followed by a short beach dive No previous experience is necessary to get in the water and get started.

We have an excellent Caribbean scuba team near resort- "Aquatica" Aquatica - with Jose and his team -- surfing and scuba.

Jose can take you onto scuba lessons, or, of course, full scuba dives both here and further afield.

SNUCA - a simple, quick scuba - with no need for certification

You'll be in the water, under the water in just 20 minutes.

You are breathing from air hose and are trained to go down just 20 feet.

But that is plenty to get the underwater experience of our blue hole.

Aquatica handles this for us.

Snorkeling in the Caribbean in Western Puerto Rico

Our Caribbean resort has all the snorkel gear to get you into the Caribbean for snorkeling in our protected reef areas.

Scuba Diving in Western Puerto Rico, The Caribbean: Blue Hole at Shacks Beach

Our certified Scuba team can either guide with care and passion or give lessons with wisdom and skill to our guests.

Where to go?
We have our own Caribbean blue hole dive 400 yards down on Shacks beach for Scuba diving and surfing, then around the headlands (short trip), we have Crashboat beach for diving and surfing, and further on with a 13 mile boat trip, the pristine depths of Desecheo Island, home to one of the healthiest reef systems and the clearest waters in the Caribbean, yet it is virtually unknown as a dive destination. Scuba diving and snorkeling at Desecheo Island boasts 100 to 150 foot visibility consistently.
