Puerto Rico Pet Friendly Hotel - Resort
Puerto Rico pet friendly dog friendly hotels are not easy to come across, particularly a pet friendly beach resort like ours. We believe that our guests should be able to bring their whole family not just the two legged ones. And should you search for pet friendly Caribbean resorts, you will similarly find that we are one of the few pet friendly Caribbean resorts. We are that resort for our guests
The Management and Owners of Villa Montaña Beach Resort have many pets, love animals, and are happy to accept guests’ pets by prior agreement.
This is our pet friendly resort agreement so that all our guests are comfortable.
Our Apologies to some pet owners but we cannot welcome the following pet types:
- No pets with a weight larger than 80 pounds.
- No variety or cross breed of any form of pit bull.
- No variety or cross breed of any form of Doberman Pinschers
- No variety or cross breed of any form of Akitas.
- No snakes
- No pets that cannot be trusted to be friendly with all other pets and all people. Period. That is vital for all of us here at the Resort. We ask you to make that judgment prior to arrival, but once you are here, we reserve the right to make that judgment and make it on any grounds.
Certain villas and hotel rooms are unable to accept pets. Should the guest be staying in one of these, pets cannot be accepted.
If you come to us with a pet and we have not pre-planned for that pet, we may have to change your room or villa so as to try to accommodate you.
Pet Cleaning Fee Per Day:
Except for animals in cages (hamsters, parrots, parakeets, etc.) we charge a $20 fee per day per pet with a minimum of $100 per stay, whichever is greater. This fee covers the costs of deep cleaning when the pet and its family check out. We have to do a through deep cleaning of the room or villa.
Pet Sheets and Towels
We provide “pet” sheets and towels to cover our furniture should your pet be tempted to get on the furniture and to help you in keeping your pet clean and dry in your room or villa.
Please use them so that your room will be as enjoyable for our next guest as for you. We must ask that you use sheets to cover any piece of furniture where you pet might decide to land.
The pet sheets and towels are a special stock and are not confused with guest towels.
Please do not use guest towels to wipe down your pet or to clean up mistakes.
Noise
Pets are not to be left in the rooms or villa unattended unless the owner can warrant that the pets will not disturb other guests with noise or unacceptable behavior. If a pet is disturbing other guests, we will enter the room and remove the pet, placing it in a safe holding area that will not disturb our other guests.
Destruction and Soiling and Charges To Your Account
Should there be destruction or soiling of any kind over and above normal wear and tear, the pet owner will be charged for all extra cleaning and repair including animal vomit, and excrement. Should any furniture or carpet need to be replaced, the owner shall be liable for full replacement and/or repair. The owner hereby authorizes Villa Montaña Beach Resort to collect those charges form the owner signing here and to do so with the credit card and/or deposit on file with Villa Montaña Beach Resort. The judgment of our housekeeping staff is final on all issues of damage or soiling.
Pet Bed
We suggest that you bring your own pet bed or blanket. If you have not done so, again please use the pet towel and sheet if you need them to protect our furniture and upholstery.
Outside and Inside
Please keep your pet under control at all times. Some children are fearful of pets. Not everyone likes pets. Yes, we know that is hard for us all to believe. But that is it.
We ask you to behave as a responsible pet owner and pick up all poop immediately. We provide you with “poop bags”. That is why. It is very disturbing to others and our environment if we have pet droppings littering the resort grounds.
Please clean up after the whole family- not just the two legged ones.
Any guest bringing a pet with them will be considered to have agreed to these policies, irrespective of signature.
